In 1997 Wellbridge Corporation had a vision of creating an integrated wellness center which would became one of the largest leading medically integrated health corporations in the country. With a nationalreputation and several locations, new products and services needed to be developed and implemented properly in order to maintain branding and quality standards for the projected 250 locations. A team of experts was consolidated and the process began

The Challenge

Virtual Spa was asked to develop a spa concept, with an integrated wellness focus that could be incorporated in the Wellbridge fitness environment nation-wide. The target market was clientele who sought out membership for medical reasons such as high blood pressure and rehabilitation.

The Solution

From architectural design, to treatment menus, and down to the organizational chart, job descriptions, and training, Virtual Spa created aunique brand of spa for 250 planned locations. Specially designed pedicures for those with diabetes and hydrotherapy treatments to compliment physical therapy, are examples of the signature treatments included in this wellness program. Once approved, the concept was implemented nationally and all work was directed by Virtual Spa from one central location.

The Outcome

Wellbridge achieved a healthy 40% utilization at the end of year one. This completed project boosted annual earnings and resulted in a successful sale of the Wellbridge Corporation in 1999.
