The legendary, Crème de la Mer, was created by NASA aerospace physicist Dr. Max Huber in the 60's and has since developed a cult-like following of loyal devotees. Acquired in 1995 by the Estee Lauder Companies, the Max Huber Research Laboratories continues to build upon the vision and heritage of its founder - extending the benefits of the original Crème to include a series of supporting treatments. Today, this exclusive and highly sought-after treatment line is sold in the best stores in over thirty countries worldwide.
The Challenge
Estee Lauder and the Max Huber Research Laboratories came to Virtual Spa for help in designing and developing a unique spa environment and treatment program based the La Mer line of prestigious skin care products for The Spa Experience at Harrod's Urban Retreat in London.
The Solution
Virtual Spa worked hand in hand with Max Huber Research Laboratories to introduce La Mer's first-ever spa. With Virtual Spa's operational expertise, a series of signature treatments that incorporate La Mer's rich history and legendary products were created. The environment is equally remarkable- with state-of-the-art room design, equipment, lighting and air purification.

The Spa Experience is the transformational haven for mind and body that Estee Lauder envisioned-opening to rave reviews from the public and press. The comprehensive training and development of treatment protocols has helped ensure a complete execution, resulting in a profitable return from opening day.
